In this edition of Candid Gear you'll see me predict the 2024 Grammy winners.
The year 2023 brought stirring emotions as the seemingly undeniable global happenings took precedence. As we tried to envelop ourselves with more and more information about everything that's happening in life personally, nationally and globally - the sound kept us pulling back into something that is so pure at its core, a melody that everybody tunes in with, a rhythm that makes everyone groove, music delivered!
The sound saved many of us!
And as we celebrate the power of music and the revolutionary musicians and singers that the Recording academy nominated this year - Join me while I predict - the winners!
The 66th Annual Grammy Awards will take place on 5th February 2024 (IST)
Things I need to get out of the way before I share my take,
- Why I don't see Caroline Polachek's name in the list of Album of the Year? I definitely felt that it could make the list. Desire, I want to turn into you! Should be considered. Sunset is my favourite!
- Lana Del Rey is on the list and I am definitely happy to see that. There's the tunnel under ocean boulevard is my favourite album and A/W is a banger in the last lap!
- I am not vibing with Taylor’s songs these days and I am sort of - over seeing her everywhere. She is popular choice and deserving artist for sure but my heart is in something fresh and new. I rather call this a Taylor-fatigue!
